The launch positioning was $349 for the RX 9060 XT 16GB and $299 for the RTX 5060, but current partner boards can move much farther apart. A small real-world premium strengthens the case for the Radeon card's native raster performance and 16GB capacity. A large premium, or a workflow that needs CUDA, Studio drivers, or supported DLSS features, strengthens the GeForce case.   • Choose the RX 9060 XT 16GB for native 1080p or 1440p gaming, high-resolution textures, and more VRAM headroom when its actual partner-card premium is acceptable.
  • Choose the RTX 5060 when the exact card is materially cheaper, or when your games and creator applications specifically benefit from DLSS 4, CUDA, or Studio support.
  • For either GPU, compare the exact board rather than the chip name alone: cooler quality, warranty, power connector, dimensions, and case fit can change the better purchase.
