  • The iMac is a complete desk system. Its actual 23.5-inch display has a 4480-by-2520 resolution, 218 pixels per inch, 500-nit rating, P3 color, and True Tone. It also includes a 12MP Center Stage camera, six-speaker system, three-microphone array, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and Magic Mouse.
  • Mac mini's low price excludes the parts you look at and touch. The box contains the computer and power cord. That is ideal when you can reuse a good display and input devices, but a new monitor, webcam, audio setup, keyboard, and mouse can consume much or all of the $900 difference.
